To successfully use the interaction tools provided with the GOODS-North data access, you will need to download the latest version of Java. Version 1.4.2 requires administrator priviledges to install on Windows machines. If you are running netscape 4 or 6, there is an environment variable "NPX_PLUGIN_PATH" that needs to be set to where the Java files are located. For example: /local/username/j2rel_3_1/plugin/sparc/ns4 for netscape 4 on solaris. The same is true for Linux.
